James' Bridge, Dingwall Nr Inverness
The new 26m x 1.5m bridge with Galvanised steel beams and a hardwood Type A parapet provides a durable and robust structure to replace the former footbridge that was shut to pedestrians in 2017.
The Blake family funded the new bridge in memory of their late son James and addressed a large crowd from the Dingwall community at the opening ceremony on 14th December 2019.
The bridge is on a hugely popular circular walking route 'Around Dingwall' which takes you along the banks of the old Thomas Telford built canal.
